Hey! π Thanks for visiting my page! π₯³

I'm Faisal Alghurayri. I'm currently living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and working remotely as a Software Engineering Partner at Studio 966. I'm deeply passionate about using technology to solve problems, and while I'm at it, have fun and build meaningful and diverse relationships. π
I've been coding since 2002. It all started with being the go-to guy in my family for "computer stuff" ranging from formatting PCs to creating a Google page desktop shortcut. In high school, due to the higher demand then, I started asking for money in exchange for more challenging services like setting up forums/communities using vBulletin and WordPress! π°
I knew I liked this work, so I joined a local university (thankfully for free since I'm Saudi! πΈπ¦) to study and level-up more formally. In college, I have learned the fundamentals of programming with OOP using C++, data structures, operating systems, networking, requirements engineering, and a handful of business classes to be prepped for the real world.
Throughout my 7 years of professional experience, I was part of great teams in delivering projects and building/iterating products in different business verticals with a unique mixture of in-house-built tools and/or commercial off-the-shelf technologies. This helped to shape me into the well-rounded engineer I'm today AND I'm still enjoying it like day 1!!! π€

Like many engineers working in 9 to 5 jobs, almost all of the stuff I created/worked on are behind private (on-prem) repos. That being said, I understand how important it is to have your work public so others can learn from it and use it. For that reason, I have built a few tools/products as part of side projects, public workshops, or free consultations I have provided. You can visit my Github to check them out! π¨βπ»
